The 13th Exhibition (MINEX 2024), which is among the largest exhibitions in the mining sector, this year—aimed at introducing capacities and investment opportunities in the field of mining and mineral industries of the country, and with the wide participation of domestic and international companies and institutions—has provided a suitable platform for the development of commercial cooperation and the attraction of new investments in Iran’s mineral industries.
This exhibition, with the broad presence of companies and economic enterprises active in the field of mining and mineral industries, was held with the approach of participation of specific companies related to the subject of investment in this industry.

The Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, simultaneously with the 13th International Exhibition of Investment Opportunities in Mining and Mineral Industries, showcased the capabilities of the knowledge-based economy in the field of mining and mineral industries. In line with helping to develop the export market of knowledge-based companies, it supported the participation of these companies in exhibitions. Knowledge-based companies presented their capabilities and products in the fields of the Headquarters for Water, Climate and Environment; Machinery Manufacturing and Advanced Industrial Equipment; Development of Materials Technologies and Advanced Manufacturing; and Development of Technologies in the Digital Economy and Smart Systems, in relation to the mining and mineral industries.
The (MINEX 2024) exhibition was an opportunity for the gathering of mining experts and investors, who, in addition to presenting their potentials and capabilities, provided grounds for investment in these fields.
The opening of this exhibition was held with the presence of the Head of the Economic Office of the Supreme Leader, the President of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, the Head of the House of Mines, the Head of the Iran Stone Association, the Head of the Geological Survey and Mineral Explorations of the Country, and the Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade.
Ali Agha Mohammadi, Head of the Economic Office of the Supreme Leader, in the opening ceremony of the 13th International Exhibition of Investment Opportunities in Mining and Mineral Industries (MINEX 2024), stated:
“Our country has mineral potential and holds 7 percent of the world’s mineral reserves. The growth of the mining sector shows that, in terms of reserves and assets, we have not had good growth in these years. After oil and gas, the mining sector is the largest part of the traditional economy of the country, which must create transformation. Under current conditions, one of the country’s crises in terms of development is human resources.”
